Wrath of Anak Krakatau Volcano (17 images)

Anak Krakatau is an active volcano island in the Sunda Straits in Indonesia. Anak Krakatau means the "child" of Krakatau, the famous volcano whose 1983 massive eruption caused widespread destruction.
I spent two weeks photographing the 2009 volcanic eruptions when activity was at its peak, quite often in difficult conditions.
